I specialize in adult psychiatry and provide psychotherapy and medication-based treatments for common conditions including stress and adjustment difficulties, anxiety disorders, and mood disorders. Regardless of the problem, I believe that each person has a unique combination of personal strengths and challenges as well as positive and negative emotions and experiences. My treatment approach emphasizes increasing awareness and self-understanding, augmenting positive emotions, and promoting engagement in life by utilizing one's strengths.
Conditions/situations which I do not treat include:
Current drug or alcohol overuse or abuse
Return to work evaluations
Disability evaluations
Dementia
Severe eating disorders (i.e. anorexia, bulimia)
Anger management
Domestic violence
Self-harming disorders
Court ordered treatment
Psychiatric emergencies
Children and adolescents under age 18
